Bay Pairs Round One Whakatane 14 April was a wonderful event with 19 ½ tables. 

Our club rose to the challenge yet again of being superb hosts with the most amazing morning tea which provided enough surplus that it served as lunch and afternoon tea too. The raffle was well supported-thank goodness that one of the three prizes went to a visitor! 

We have had a wonderful response to our Bay Pairs tournament with 20 tables entered! Huge thanks to Julie for arranging the raffle and Ali/Kat for overseeing the tournament organisation; and thanks to all of you who are involved either in playing or helping in the kitchen etc.

Our annual visit to Opotiki is coming up Monday 18 March so grab a partner and find a car to pool with. Add your names to the list on the whiteboard indicating whether you would like to car pool or have space available.

This is always a very fun visit and Opotiki do treat us very well with a fine supper.

Mondays no longer have a partnership steward which means you will find your own partners. You can txt/email/ring your partner or ask them face to face when you come along to play. Bring your yellow book with you to arrange this. If you don’t yet have your 2024 bridge book, they are available for you to collect when you come to the club.

Monday 29 January and Monday 5  February : no partner needed. Come along and put your name in the bowl; partners will be drawn out. This gives you 2 weeks to match up partners for future Monday competitions.

Learner lessons will start Thursday 18 April 7-9pm with Bobbi Drysdale.

There will be 10 lessons, with a cost of $35
