About Compa$$
Compa$$ - Cashless Table Money
Compa$$ is your own personal wallet for cashless payment of table money. Compa$$ is part of the Compass Scoring System and uses the the information in Compass and your NZ Bridge ID (number) to record when you play a bridge session.
For each session played, your account balance is decreased by the applicable table money.
Your Compa$$ account balance is increased by
1) top-ups via internet banking. This is the preferred method.
2) cash payments at the club; this is possible but not desirable in the long term
3) using cash to pay table money every session. This is the least desirable option due to complexity and bank’s changing attitudes to cash.
Visitors will continue to use cash to pay table money. Credit / debit cards are not accepted.
While Compa$$ is voluntary it is strongly recommended that you join. Once you join Compa$$ all transactions will be managed in Compa$$ e.g., if,after joining Compa$$, you pay cash for one session this will still be managed in Compa$$. For this reason it is desirable that you always use internet banking to add funds It is important to advise the treasurer or IT when you start using Compa$$ so that the records are correct.
A statement can be emailed to you or you can access your transactions online using myCompass.
